SEDA Show & Tell 2016

Venue: Architecture + Design Scotland, 9 Bakehouse Close, Edinburgh EH8 8DD

Date: Wednesday 7th December 5.30pm for a 6pm start until about 8.30pm

The Show and Tell one of SEDA's most popular events and has been sold out the last two years.

Our Show and Tell format is simple, fast paced presentations of imaginative recent projects, inspirational new ideas, ecological initiatives, places, landscapes, other works accompanied by food, drinks and lively chat. This is open evening - members, their friends, and anyone interested in ecological design is welcome to come along. Students are particularly welcome. Refreshments are available at the presentation and we normally reconvene in a pub afterwards.
You DO have to be a SEDA member (or part of a company membership) if you wish to give a talk. Each talk will be strictly timed (5 minutes max) and can be illustrated with up to 3 slides - each of which can be comprised of any number of images - which should be sent in advance to Matt Bridgestock (matt.bridgestock@johngilbert.co.uk), who has agreed to collate the slides beforehand into a computer-based show for the evening. Try to keep the file sizes down. We have already received notice, and information, for a number of talks - but there are still some slots remaining!

This year we have two options:

1. Present in person - Send us your images, which must be either JPEGs or PDFs. You must make the filename of your images the name you would like to credit followed by the number (1,2,3), for example: mattbridgestock_1.jpg
2. Present by video - We know there are many SEDA members doing interesting stuff but they can’t make the Show and Tell, if you wish you can send me a video of talking about you eco activities this year. It must be less than 5 minutes and in either MP4 or AVI format. We would like your permission to put this online on the SEDA ‘soapbox’ after the event.
A selection from the evening's presentations will be included in a Members’ Gallery on our website as well as in future issues of SEDA magazine. We will assume that you are giving us permission to do this when you send your images. If you do not want us to use the images for the website or the magazine, please include a note to this effect in the email!

Transport - A+DS is close to Waverly Station and bus stops on the Royal Mile. There are many paid car parks within Edinburgh City Centre. Bikes can be locked just outside the door.
